Liturgy: "Questioning Foundations" topic of April 1 Convocation

Liturgy: "Questioning Foundations" will be the topic of the next Convocation at The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia (LTSP) on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 11:30 am in Benbow Hall, The Brossman Center on the LTSP campus. Presenter will be The Rev. Dr. Dirk G. Lange, Assistant Professor of Christian Assembly at LTSP.

The lecture is free and open to the public. Directions to the LTSP campus can be found on the LTSP Web site. Free parking is available adjacent to The Brossman Center.

The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia (LTSP) invites all who have a passion for service and a love for the gospel to Prospective Student Day, Thursday, March 27 from 6:30-8:30 pm. You don't need to be Lutheran to come and see, just an interest in diverse and dynamic theological education. The day is designed for anyone who wishes to explore where God may be leading them.

LTSP First North American Partner in Global Network for Public Theology

The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia (LTSP) is pleased to become the first North America member of the Global Network for Public Theology (GNPT), an academic research partnership of 24 institutions across six continents which promotes theological contributions on public issues, especially those issues affecting the poor, the marginalized, and the environment in a glocal (global-local) context. GNPT sponsors the publication of the International Journal of Public Theology.

The Rev. Dr. Katie Day, Charles A. Schieren Professor, Church and Society and Director of the Urban Concentration, is LTSP' contact for GNPT.  LTSP is also the home of the LTSP Multicultural Mission Resource Center, which was established to help congregations and the Church open up and reach out to the communities in the neighborhood and beyond.
