Opening Day of the 146th Academic Year

The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia (LTSP) opens the 146th academic year on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 with Eucharist, Convocation and a series of sessions for all students.

The day begins with Opening Eucharist at 9:30 pm in the Schaeffer-Ashmead Chapel on the LTSP campus, 7301 Germantown Avenue, in the Mt. Airy section of Northwest Philadelphia (19119). LTSP President the Rev. Dr. Philip D.W. Krey will give the opening sermon.

Following a community coffee, the Rev. Dr. Richard N. Stewart, LTSP Associate Professor, Communications, Parish Administration, will present the opening convocation lecture Who Saitheth that: IT IS NOT E-SAY TO BE GREEN? The lecture will be held in Benbow Hall, The Brossman Center on the LTSP campus.

Both Opening Eucharist and the Convocation are free and open to the public.
